The Field map
Some maps tell you where things are. This one asks where a meaning entered. Was it in the image, in the observer, in the culture around them, in a documented relation, or in the act of placing two things together?
Two fields, an overlap, difference remaining. The world is not reducible to perception. The observer is not outside perception. Encounter is where they meet. Difference remains.
World
What the material supplied.
Encounter
Where a relation forms. Difference remains.

What stands between, including the one who looks.
- pattern
What seemed to recur. Hits, misses, field.
- coincidence
To fall together. Before anyone decides whether that falling means.
Observer
What attention, memory, and association contributed.

To stretch toward. A narrowing that feels like the whole.

What arises in me. Marked as mine. Not yet the other.

What remained, and what remembering added.
- affect
What arrived in the body. Feeling is evidence of feeling.
Claim
Epistemic offices. Not places. How a sentence is held.
