A bit of chart. She did not throw it out.
Jocelyn Bell was reading miles of chart. A bit of scribble returned. She called it, joking, little green men. Antony Hewish was supervisor. The 1968 Nature paper has five names. The 1974 Nobel did not have hers. She has said the work was the point, and that the slight remains a teaching.
The miss in the prize is not a miss in the sky.
